Gold plated jewellery is a great way of having the appearance of gold jewellery without the price tag of solid gold. Every gold plated piece from Jennifer Tsang Jewellery is made up of 24ct gold with a sterling silver base. Gold plating is measured in microns (around 0.001mm thick) and there has to be a minimum requirement of 0.5um (microns) thick to be considered gold plate. All of our items are at least 1.5um thick, going up to 3um for certain pieces such as rings. This ensures the quality and longevity of our jewellery for our customers. Plating will wear off over time, however, these can be re-polished and re-plated. If you have any questions regarding the care of gold plated items, please do not hesitate to contact me.
The Sierra Collection focuses on using recycled silver in a manner which creates unique and individual pieces of jewellery. This makes every piece in this collection aesthetically different from one another, drawing inspiration from mountainous landscapes and rock formations.
